Government Advocacy
Issues
Printing Industries of America advocates a member-driven public policy agenda before Congress, the White House and Federal agencies that benefits and protects America’s printing industry. Printing Industries also seeks to raise the industry’s political visibility on Capitol Hill through grassroots advocacy, the Printing Industries Legislative Conference (held in even numbered years), and PrintPAC, the only political action committee dedicated solely to representing the political interests of the printing and graphic arts communications industry. Printing Industries also works to keep its membership abreast of key legislative and political developments affecting the industry, primarily through its weekly e-newsletter, imPRINT.
The 112th Congress Advocacy Agenda is focused on issues related to labor and employee benefits (including health care reform), tax, postal and environmental/energy policy. Printing Industries is devoting its legislative and political capital to achieve legislative successes on these key industry issues.
